Like much of life, this was unexpected. An extra abundance of time coupled with newfound inspiration led me to record my third solo record. Unlike the first two albums, this album is a reflection of the past number of years. I wrote Far From The Tree in 2013 when I started to take songwriting seriously, and in many ways it set the tone for the music that followed.

I have always identified with the metaphorical idea of the late bloomer. Initially what was a time of struggle to find my way in the world resulted in a revelatory period where I began taking pride in all my accomplishments, proceeding on this journey at my own pace and arriving at the great conclusion that waiting and exerting patience (despite times of uncertainty) has never felt so victorious.
